Nubia has officially announced that it will be launching the Red Magic 9s Pro on July 3. Red Magic has also opened pre-orders for the new phone. This morning, the company released a series of detailed images that reveal the phone’s design changes.

According to the images, the phone will be available in four colors called Dark Knight, Day Warrior, Deuterium Front Transparent Dark Night and Deuterium Front Transparent Silver Wing. The phone will be officially introduced at the Red Magic E-sports Universe New Product Launch Conference.

As you can see in the images, two of the four versions will have a transparent coating near the motherboard and vent. Apart from this, the design language is similar to the previous model with straight edges and sharp corners. But there are some notable changes. While the camera modules were moved to the side on the back, the flash module was moved from the top to the side of the camera module. The Red Magic logo has also been moved from the center to the side. The fan now emulates a third camera, and the third sensor is placed inside the flash module.

On the front, the phone has narrower bezels compared to the Red Magic 8s Pro.

According to previous rumors, the phone will be equipped with ICE 13.5 multi-layer cooling system with precise heat dissipation, equipped with 10,000-level ice VC + innovative freezing cooling gel + high-speed shark fin alloy centrifugal fan. It is expected to reduce the chassis temperature to 19.5°C and the CPU core temperature to 25°C.

The phone will be powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, but the SD 8Gen 3 chipset’s main Cortx-X4 cores are said to be clocked at up to 3.4GHz. For reference, the base core on the regular version of the chipset runs at 3.3GHz. In addition, the GPU clock speed will also be boosted by 1GHz. Not to mention, the phone will feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

Red Magic 9s Pro can be equipped with a wide range of language models for AI functions. LLM is said to offer a first word response time of 1 second. So we can say that there will be some text features. This could be similar to the text creation and summarization features already available on many flagship devices. However, there is currently not much information about AI functions.
