HMD Global has confirmed that new phones will be announced for July. Leaks have already given us a look at the high-end HMD Skyline, which features a retro Nokia Lumia design and a powerful 108-megapixel camera. Now, the source of the leak has been revealed. @smashx_60 sheds light on another upcoming phone, the mid-range HMD View.

The HMD View is a departure from the flashier designs of some rivals, opting for a more understated aesthetic. The phone is expected to feature a metal frame with a slightly rounded design, a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, and a rectangular dual-lens camera module with an LED flash. Color options will reportedly include Meteor Black, Ice, and Velvet.

In terms of size, the HMD View appears to be a successor to the Nokia X30, which offers a relatively compact 6.4-inch display by current smartphone standards.

This mid-range model is said to feature a 1080p+ OLED display. The camera department is said to be anchored by a 50-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by an unknown secondary lens. The phone is expected to be powered by a 4,700mAh battery.

The HMD View is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. This new 6nm ARM processor uses a combination of two high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.3GHz and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Rumors have it that at least one version of the HMD View will be equipped with 8GB of RAM.

While pricing and launch date details remain under wraps, leaks paint a picture of a mid-range phone with a compact design, OLED display, powerful 50-megapixel camera, and long-lasting battery.

With HMD Global confirming that a new phone will be launched in July, it’s likely we’ll soon get official information about the HMD View and its place in the company’s smartphone lineup.
