  1. Turn on Location Services for Find My
  • Click the Apple logo in the macOS menu bar.
  • Go to System Preferences > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
  • Turn on the switch next to Location Services.
  • Turn on Find My by turning on the switch next to it in the list of apps.
  1. Add your Mac to the Find My network
  • Click the Apple logo in the menu bar and choose System Preferences > [Ваше ім’я] Select > iCloud.

How to locate an Apple device using Find My?

The most useful feature of Find My is finding lost or stolen Apple devices.

  1. View devices
  • Go to the Devices tab to see all your Apple devices with Location Services enabled.
  • If a device is not displayed, set up Find Now.

  • Click on any device in the list to see its location on the map.
  • Tap the Info icon next to your device to do things like play a sound, get directions, turn on notifications, factory reset, or mark it as lost.
