What happened

In a post on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, the owner showed photos of the tailgate covered in adorable paw prints and some not-so-adorable damage from animal teeth.

The animals made some effort to attempt theft by gnawing at the lining of the cover and leaving large holes. Considering that everything happens at Tesla and its service centers, fixing these damages will most likely take a lot of time and money.

Judging by the photos, if small animals like raccoons could do so much damage in one night, the exterior cladding here is not very strong. Most interestingly, Musk of course promised that the Cybertruck could survive in hell and even on Mars, but the real picture is a bit different. It’s hard to imagine what a bear could do with this crate.

While Tesla is touted as a truck that’s “built for every planet” and “durable and reliable enough to go anywhere,” it’s already plagued with a number of issues, from gas pedals that can stick to batteries that have a noticeable tendency to fail.

Commenters on the forum are already joking that they’ve learned their lesson and won’t be storing food in the Cybertruck while hiking.
