Apple’s budget iPhone SE series has always been an interesting one. It offers powerful internals in a familiar, slightly dated design. Leaks about the upcoming iPhone SE 4 have also been confusing, with conflicting reports about its design and camera setup.

A leak earlier this week suggested the phone would borrow the iPhone 16’s design, complete with a dual rear camera system. This contradicted earlier reports, with leaked CAD images showing a single rear camera.

Now, a new leak from reputable source Ice Universe sheds light on the alleged iPhone SE 4 specs, seemingly putting the dual-camera rumors to rest.

According to Ice Universe, the iPhone SE 4 will feature a single 48-megapixel rear camera. The screen size is said to be 6.06 inches, which is a significant number compared to the 4.7-inch display on the SE 3. However, it may still have a 60Hz refresh rate, which may seem outdated now that even mid-range Android phones are offering smoother 90Hz displays, such as 120Hz.

The device will likely be powered by Apple’s latest A18 Bionic chip, with the leak also mentioning 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, as well as an unspecified modem that could be available from Apple or Qualcomm.

A few design details leaked by the tipster include an aluminum side frame. This is consistent with previous reports that the phone will ditch the iconic home button and thick bezels of older SE models in favor of a design closer to the current iPhone lineup. There’s also talk of Face ID replacing Touch ID on previous models.

Finally, the leak suggests a USB-C port, which is a welcome change from the current Lightning connector. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to cost between $499 and $549. The launch window is said to be between March and May 2025.
