What happened

Daniel Erres was home when he heard what sounded like glass breaking, which was also captured on his Ring camera. An unidentified woman reportedly got out of her Dodge Journey by entering private property near Erres’ home, where his Cybertruck, which had a giant “Cream Daytona” decal on it, was parked. He started beating on the truck windows.When he finished his work, he got in his car and drove away.

It is worth noting that The car did not suffer major damage.Judging by photos on the internet, the Cybertruck’s sturdy glass survived and didn’t break, but there are clearly visible circular marks from being hit by something sharp, and on the driver’s side windshield you can see what appear to be large scratches. The attacker likely used a screwdriver or a knife.

According to Erres, there were two children in the backseat of the car at the time who were scared and started crying.

Police found and arrested the woman minutes later and identified her as a 29-year-old out-of-state resident. The thug reportedly went to a neighbor’s house on the same street and knocked over two propane tanks before being caught. A neighbor told police the woman yelled at him before driving off.

Erres and her machine appear to have been the victims of an accidental attack, rather than a deliberate attack on the Cybertruck or its owner specifically. Police have called for the woman to press charges in court.

Work is paused

Erres says the truck was damaged will force him to close his ice cream distribution business by the end of the summer. He started his own business in May, so he was only able to work for a few months.
