A new option for your Instagram posts

In the past, users would often turn to third-party apps like Canva to add text to their images before uploading them to Instagram. This new feature simplifies the process by removing the need for third-party apps to simply overlay text.

How to add text to Instagram post?

With the new text feature, sharing on Instagram is a breeze, especially for users who are already familiar with the platform. Follow these steps to add text to your feed:

1. Click the plus sign in the submenu or in the top right corner of your profile screen. If the Create menu appears, select Publish.
2. Select a photo or photos from recent posts and click Next.
3. Click on the “Aa” icon at the top of the screen.
4. Enter your message, then edit the font, color, and style just like you would for an Instagram Story.
5. Drag the text to place it on the photo and pinch to resize as needed.
6. Click Next, add any other details or captions to the post, and then click Share.

Note that you can’t edit the text once it’s published, so make sure everything is correct before sharing. If you notice an error in a carousel post, you can delete the individual image with the error without deleting the entire post.
