After almost two years of rumors about the fourth generation iPhone SE The information has reported that Apple’s suppliers are finally planning to begin mass production of the device in October this year.
The next iPhone SE is likely not to be announced alongside the iPhone 16 series in September as previously expected, but instead could be released before the Chinese Lunar New Year in January 2025. However, all three current iPhone SE models were announced in March, so a March 2025 release seems quite possible.
The fourth-generation iPhone SE is said to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, action button, and USB-C port. The device is expected to be similar to the base iPhone 14, although previous reports have suggested it will only have a single rear camera and could use the same rear panel manufacturing process as the iPhone 16.
It was previously known that the iPhone 16 models will be equipped with an “extended graphite layer” inside the body of the devices to eliminate possible overheating. Apple is also working on an iPhone with a clamshell design similar to the Galaxy Z Flip series.
