HONOUR MagicOS 8.0 OTA update has started to roll out to users HONOR X9b In India. After beta testing, the update is now available for all HONOR X9b phones and brings new AI features and better security.

What’s new in MagicOS 8.0

Intent-based user interface:
MagicOS 8.0 features a new interface that uses AI to make interactions more intuitive with HONOR’s on-device AI model, MagicLM.

Features of artificial intelligence:

• Magic Capsule: Easy access to calls, alarms and notifications.
• Magic portal: It helps to navigate to appropriate applications based on the message context.
• Magic ring: Makes multitasking across 8 devices easy.
• Magic Lock Screen and Parallel Spaces: full-screen always-on display and isolated communication areas for better privacy.
• AI Smart Folders and AI Blur: It intelligently organizes apps and hides sensitive information to ensure privacy.

Improvements:

• Smooth animation: provides a flawless visual experience.
• Custom camera setup: allows users to move frequently used camera modes for easier access.
• Enhanced ViLTE Video Call: Improves the quality of video calls.

Practical Updates:

• Ultra energy saving mode: extends battery life.
• 5G roaming: provides continuous connectivity while traveling.

Security: Includes the latest Android security patches as of June 2024.

Availability of updates

The update is now rolling out and all HONOR X9b users in India can access this update. To check and install the update:

• Go to Settings > System and Update > Software Update
• Click “Check for updates”

On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Civi Limited Edition with Panda design will go on sale in India on July 29, 2024. This model will feature new mirrored glass and vegan leather in pink, monochrome, and blue colors. Expected to have up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, this device shares the same specifications as the base model, including a 6.55-inch 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, 4700mAh battery with 67W fast charging, triple 50MP rear camera, and a 32MP front camera.
