Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has now shed some light on the matter. According to Kuo, iPhone 17 Thin It will only have a single rear camera. If it works, it will be the first main-series iPhone with a single camera since the iPhone 8.

Kuo says that Apple will “emphasize innovative form factor design rather than competing on hardware specs” with the iPhone 17 Slim. Simply put, there’s a clear emphasis on aesthetics and portability compared to the standard and Pro models.

The rest of the leak largely confirms previous rumors. The iPhone 17 Slim is expected to sport a 6.6-inch, 1260×2740 resolution display. The A19 chip is likely to be housed under the hood, a step down from the A19 Pro expected on the Pro models. And the Dynamic Island, which replaces the Notch, will be carried over from the current iPhones.

However, there are some conflicting details. While previous reports suggested the iPhone 17 Slim would have an aluminum frame, Kuo says it will actually use titanium, although the titanium content will be lower than the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models.
