Reportedly SAMSUNG He is working on a sequel to his own series. Galaxy A15The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming smartphone has been tentatively named Galaxy A16It appeared in the database of the British operator EE.
The listing lists various model numbers associated with the device, presumably for different variants of the device. They include:
Although there are a few missing at this stage, the “DUOS” suffix in some model numbers indicates the possibility of using two SIM cards. The Galaxy A16 name without the 5G label is thought to be the 4G model.
It is worth noting that a separate listing for the model number SM-A165F has also been spotted in the IMEI database, but it doesn’t reveal anything about its specifications. However, we now know that Samsung is working on a 4G and 5G model for the Galaxy A16, just like its predecessor.
While details about the Galaxy A16 are currently limited, it’s reasonable to speculate based on its predecessor: the Galaxy A15 sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset for the 5G model or the Helio G99 for the 4G model. Key camera features include a 50MP primary sensor, while the battery capacity is set at 5,000mAh with 25W charging support.
The Galaxy A16 series is likely to build on this foundation by offering improvements and updates to various components. Samsung has yet to officially acknowledge the existence of the Galaxy A16. More details regarding the device’s specifications, release date, and pricing are expected to emerge in the coming months.
