The LM002 model itself is not unique, as it was produced for a long time, from 1986 to 1993. The privilege is provided by various modifications that will be added to this vehicle at the request of the Sultan. To tell the truth, the result is a bit similar to the modern Tesla Cybertruck.
What is known about this car
The LM002 used the same 5.2-litre V12 engine from the second Countach and was wrapped in a very boxy pickup truck body. In an effort to be unique, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah hired car manufacturer Salvatore Diamante to convert his LM002 into a closed van with a raised roof.

A total of three cars of this type were produced, but the whereabouts of the other two are unknown. The auction site “Supercar Blondie, SBX Cars” says nothing about them because the seller is not Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah himself. After using the car for a while, he sold it to Bernd Pichetsrieder, former CEO of Volkswagen and BMW. It was later purchased by a Swedish woman who used the car to take her children to school. It has been in Sweden since then.
But back to the changes made to this car, because not only the appearance of this LM002 has undergone significant changes:
The interior has been completely redesigned, but mostly the rear end.
The second row was given a large center console containing a TV, VCR, and DVD player, which was added later to modernize it a bit.
The cargo area where the bed used to be is now outfitted with a U-shaped bench and speakers, and it doesn’t look so good anymore.
There’s not much change up front – maybe a few extra wood trims, but overall it’s pretty much the same as the regular LM002.

It’s not exactly perfect, being almost 40 years old, but it’s still pretty good. The SBX Cars specs state that there are some cracks in the leather seats and scratches and bubbles in the Argento Metallizzato paint; the car has been repainted.
It still uses the stock 345mm wide tires, which aren’t very good. However, a new set will be included in the sale.

Under the hood of the truck is still the original 5.2-liter V12 that produces 444 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a five-speed manual transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
This power is enough to accelerate this huge truck from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 kilometers per hour. It also has a mileage rating of just 10,000 kilometers.
