This is expected Oppo will launch a series of smartphones Find X8 In the fourth quarter of 2024. While the company has not officially announced the details about the phones, rumors have been floating around. In addition to these speculations, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed some interesting specifications of the series today.
According to DCS’ Weibo post, the series Find X8 It will include the Oppo Live Photos feature that was first introduced in the Reno 12 series.
It’s similar to Apple’s Live Photos, which capture a series of moments just before and after you press the shutter button and create a short video clip within the photo. These live photos can be shared directly to social media platforms, a feature not currently available on most Android phones.
But what’s more intriguing is DCS’s claim that the Find X8 series will even support Apple’s Airdrop. The tip suggests that the Find X8 series will be able to provide seamless two-way file sharing between Oppo devices and iPhones. If Oppo is successful in implementing the feature, it could be a good reason for iPhone users to consider switching to Android.
As for the phone specifications, previous reports have revealed that the Find X8 and Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 processor. The display is said to be an OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it could be a flat display for the Find X8, while the Pro model could have a display with curved edges.
As for the cameras, we expect a triple unit on the rear, including a 3x periscope telephoto lens and a Hasselblad setup. The main camera is likely to be a 50-megapixel Sony sensor measuring 1/1.4-inch. Oppo could also introduce a new image processing algorithm to improve camera performance.
