Even before the announcement of the budget smartphone Poco C40, it was rumored that it will receive a single-chip JR510 system. Details about this were not even revealed during the official premiere of the Poco C40 – they surfaced later. As it turns out, actually the JR510 is technically very good on paper. Clearly Unisoc is no worse than budget platforms.

The JR510 is manufactured by Samsung using the 11 nm FinFET process. The processor is octa-core and all cores are the same – Arm Cortex-A55. GPU – look out for the Mali-G52. The SoC includes a task acceleration unit II (NPU – neural processor) and its own digital signal processor (DSP).

The JR510 supports HDR photo and video capture, dual-mic audio capture with noise suppression. The SoC lets you shoot simultaneously with two 16-megapixel cameras or one 50-megapixel camera. FULL HD+ resolutions and VP9, ​​H.265 and H.264 video hardware decoding are supported. The JR510 does not have a built-in 5G modem – only LTE. LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1 flash memory are also supported. In general, the JR510 is not bad for a budget device, it remains to evaluate the level of software optimization for it. Source
