techno is gearing up to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones, the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V2 Flip. The Fold 2 was recently spotted in a Google Play Console listing, revealing some key details about the foldable book. Today, we got our first look at its clamshell shell, thanks to an image shared by tipster Paras Guglani on X.

The image is not very clear, but it only shows the design of the back of the phone. Unlike the original V Flip, which had a small display cover inside the camera ring, the V2 Flip has a cover panel that covers half of the phone’s exterior. This design is consistent with information from the FCC listings.

The dual rear camera system is located on the left side and is accompanied by an LED flash, further confirming the FCC details. The overall design is reminiscent of recent flip phones such as the Xiaomi Mix Flip. In addition, the visible lines of the antenna indicate a metal frame structure.

The FCC listing also revealed details about some of the internal components of the V2 Flip. The phone is expected to be powered by a dual-cell battery of 4,590mAh in total, 3,410mAh and 1,180mAh. This means a 15% increase in battery capacity over the original V Flip.

The listing hints at support for 70W fast charging, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. The V2 Flip is expected to measure 170x74x8mm unfolded and 85x74x16mm folded.

Other specifications on the Geekbench listing reveal that the V2 Flip will be powered by a Dimensity 8020 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The phone scored 814 in single-core and 2866 in multi-core benchmarks.
