Since the launch of the OnePlus 2 in 2015, the brand has introduced a cult alert slider on its devices. Although, after the merger of OnePlus and OPPO, many devices of the brand came out without sliders.

This is mainly due to the fact that most of the mid and low-end devices recently released by OnePlus have been renamed as OPPO devices. However, with the launch of the OnePlus Ace / OnePlus 10R, many customers were confused as this premium mid-range device lacked a warning slider.

Now, a recent tweet by whistleblower Yoges Brara has indicated that there may be very few devices that will now come with an alert slider. According to the informant, the recently launched OnePlus Nord 2T was the latest mid-range device with a notification slider. In the future, the alert slider will only be available on Pro models with some OPPO flagships.

This means that customers will have to pay a lot of money to use the physical alert slider in the future. It is unclear why this decision was made. But that may be because it’s using OPPO devices with the rebranding to make this feature more exclusive or as OnePlus’ mid-range offerings. Source
