DCS’s Weibo post above suggests that the batteries tested for the Redmi K80 series have a capacity of 5,960mAh and 6,060mAh, with typical capacities reaching 6,100mAh and 6,200mAh. Under laboratory conditions, the maximum capacity can reach 6,500mAh.
This means that the Redmi K80 series has a single-cell battery with a capacity of up to 6500mAh, making it the phone with the highest-capacity battery that no other device in its price range can even come close to. In comparison, the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro have 5,000mAh batteries, while the recently announced K70 Ultra has a 5,500mAh battery.
While recent reports have revealed a lot about the Redmi K80 Pro, details about the K80 have been scarce. According to a recent report, the Pro model will feature a 2K 120Hz OLED display equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel primary camera, an ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto camera. The K80 series can support up to 120W fast charging.
Reports suggest that the Redmi K80 could feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and could be rebranded as the Poco F7 Pro in 2025. The Redmi K80 Pro, on the other hand, could feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. This device is likely to remain only in the Chinese market.
