Photos of a field covered in tall grass and a large number of cars outdoors first emerged on Reddit. Comments from a local resident suggested that the area was a site used by several Tesla stores to store “new triples,” meaning Tesla Model 3s fresh off the assembly line. The reason is simple; There is no more storage space in warehousesThe company did not reduce the number of cars produced because it was experiencing a decline in sales.

Drive later confirmed that one of the stores located next to this area was using parking space for cars.

According to Reddit writer LSDBunnos, each Model 3 on site is brand new and was only produced in April of this year. While a grassy area may seem like a pretty innocuous place to store a car, it’s actually not.

The Drive writes, “While there aren’t many underbody components on Teslas that can rust, since there are no exhaust pipes and most suspension parts are made of aluminum, rust isn’t the only problem. Underneath the car in the tall grass is a hotel for all sorts of critters (rodents, skunks, bugs, and, since this is Florida, snakes), crawling into every crevice they can find, building nests, gnawing on things they shouldn’t.
