Realme has introduced 6 new smartphones. The Gizmochina team has found some great details about the devices and we will be revealing them all in this article. We have already spotted 4 different new Realme models. Now, 6 more new Realme models have been revealed. We don’t have any information about the specifications of the smartphones. However, the model numbers that have emerged point to the next-generation Realme smartphones.
We had previously reported that Realme was working on four different smartphones. The model numbers of these four devices are “RMX5000”, “RMX5002”, “RMX5010”, and “RMX5011”. The Gizmochina team has discovered 6 more new Realme smartphones. The model numbers of the new devices are “RMX5003”, “RMX5004”, “RMX5050”, “RMX5051”, “RMX5055”, and “RMX5056”. These model numbers will belong to future Realme models. Considering that Realme’s model numbers are usually arranged as RMX1000, RMX2000, and RMX3000, it is worth noting that the RMX4000 series is skipped and the RMX5000 series is directly included.
It is thought that superstitions in Chinese culture have influenced this unusual transition. In Chinese culture, the number 4 is considered unlucky because it is pronounced like the word for “death.” This is called “tetraphobia”, or the fear of 4. This belief has led many Chinese brands to avoid the number 4 in their product numbering. Realme’s parent company Oppo did something similar by skipping the Find X4 and directly launching the Find X5. So Realme’s decision to do the same and skip the RMX4000 series and directly go with the RMX5000 series could be due to this superstition in Chinese culture.
Realme is a brand known for its innovative technologies and affordable products. These four new devices are expected to spark interest among consumers. This shows that the brand is working on new models and that the numbering of these models is influenced by the superstitions of Chinese culture. The fact that Realme is a sub-brand of Oppo and is under the auspices of BBK Electronics is a testament to the brand’s strong support and comprehensive technological infrastructure. Realme is expected to launch these new devices in the future and introduce them to technology lovers.
