Huawei is set to announce its first tri-fold smartphone on September 10, 2024. Today, it released the first teaser video that gives a look at the design of the upcoming new product. The company also confirmed the smartphone’s full name: Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design.
The video, published on Chinese social network Weibo, stars Hong Kong singer, actor and producer Andy Lau, who became the brand ambassador of Ultimate Design a year ago when the Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design was announced.
The Mate XT is built in the style of the Mate 60 RS Ultimate and features an eco-leather finish with an octagonal main camera unit. A close-up of the Mate XT’s rear reveals that it will be equipped with four cameras, including a periscope module.
According to the latest rumors, the Mate XT will offer a 10-inch display, Kirin SoC with 5G support, up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal flash memory. It will be priced at $2250-2400 in China.
