We have said that Xiaomi is developing a smartphone codenamed “zhuque”. It was believed that this device would be the first buttonless model of the MIX brand. However, Xiaomi actually tested a smartphone without physical buttons 1.5 years ago and refused to launch it. Now we see that the device manufacturer will once again introduce a model without physical buttons.

Leaving aside the Zhuque leaks, let’s take a look at Xiaomi’s first ‘wangshu’ smartphone without any physical buttons. We came across some prototype images published on the famous Chinese forum CoolAPK.

Meet the unreleased “Wangshu” prototype!

Xiaomi has a mysterious MIX smartphone codenamed “Wangshu”. This smartphone had no physical buttons and was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This device also featured an under-display camera and 200W fast charging support. Analyzing the MIUI code, we believe that the codenamed “Wangshu” belongs to this prototype MIX device.

Photos of the Wangshu prototype were published on the Chinese CoolAPK forum. The user @Einewill, who shared these photos, also revealed the features of the device. Below we add the images of this special MIX smartphone:

This special smartphone with the MIX logo on the top and bottom had no physical buttons. Xiaomi tested its first device without physical buttons 1.5 years ago. Wangshu had a 2K 120Hz LTPO display and a 4500mAh battery. Everyone wanted to introduce this special device, but Xiaomi gave up on it a long time ago. As we mentioned above, the smartphone impresses with its 200W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

In short, Xiaomi’s first buttonless smartphone is “Wangshu”. The Chinese brand has tested many prototype MIX devices but has not released any of them to the end user. The company is currently developing a new buttonless device codenamed “zhuque”. We hope that Xiaomi will not give up on this smartphone and users can experience this special device.
