The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be able to record 4K video at 120fps. The current generation of iPhones can record 4K video at 60fps, and 120fps can be achieved when shooting Full HD in Slow motion mode.

Additionally, when an external drive is connected, users will be able to record video in ProRes 4K at 120fps. Apple is also upgrading QuickTake from 1080p to 4K.

Interestingly, there is evidence that Apple is also testing 8K video recording, that is, its hardware platform allows it, but apparently the company has decided not to rush to introduce this mode. Perhaps because the capabilities of the “television” will not be enough for it, that is, it will not be possible to switch between the three cameras in this mode.

Meanwhile, the new physical camera button that will appear on the side of the new products will allow you to plan the launch of third-party camera applications. It will also be touch-sensitive, so it will be possible not only to press the button but also to slide it, activating various scenarios.
