What happened
According to Miami Local 10, Julio Solano returned to the parking lot where he had left his Chevrolet Corvette after breakfast to find a man trapped inside. The man, identified as Ravesh Rabindranaut, called for help because he couldn’t get out. The owner of the car recorded the whole thing on camera.
“This is not your car, this is my car,” the car’s owner told 33-year-old Ravesh.
“Can I go outside?” Rabindranaut can be heard asking Solano during the cellphone recording.
Solano replied, “No, you can’t go out. We’re calling the police.”
How was everything: video
Solano called the police, who arrived and arrested the failed kidnapper. It’s unclear exactly how Rabindranaut was able to get inside, but it was the complicated door-opening mechanisms that prevented him from exiting the car.
Ukrainians love reliable cars that consume little fuel. A striking example is the 2024 SUZUKI Vitara Hybrid. This car is very economical, reliable and time-tested. And most importantly, it is currently on sale at discounts of up to 86,000 UAH.
Why couldn’t he go out?
The last few generations of Corvette were equipped with electric door opening systems. They bothered some owners, but in this case they were quite useful. The point is None of the electronics inside the car work without a special keyHis absence did not allow the thief to start the engine or get out later.
The car’s electrical components don’t work without the keys, and luckily he didn’t know how to manually unlock the doors under the seat.
Solano told Local 10.
Solano also reported the incident to the owner of a high-end car rental company that had vehicles parked in the garage.
As for Rabindranaut, he was also charged with theft and is being held on $2,500 bond.
