However, outside of a few select regions in China and Europe, the device hasn’t had a truly global launch. That’s about to change, as Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared some exciting news.

Xiaomi MIX Flip Global Launch

A senior executive has announced that the MIX Flip foldable phone will be hitting the global market this month on X. Lei Jun had announced a wider release a few months ago, and now it looks like the launch is imminent. Considering that September is only 10 days away, the MIX Flip could go on sale globally as early as next week.

So we can expect more information to emerge in the coming days. As a reminder, the MIX Flip features a tall 6.9-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and 1.5K resolution. The display, meanwhile, is a 4-inch panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

This model is powered by a 4780mAh battery that supports 67W fast wired charging. The Xiaomi MIX Flip runs on Android 14 HyperOS custom skin out of the box. In terms of optics, there are dual 50MP cameras on the rear and a 32MP selfie camera on the front. A starting price of 5,999 yuan or around $825 has been announced, so the global price could be close to that figure. India is also a key region for the brand, so it is likely to launch in India as well. This is just an unconfirmed report, so stay tuned for more updates.
