September is an exciting month for tech enthusiasts. Between August and October, companies unveil their premium phones for the second half of the year. Samsung usually kicks off the season in August with its foldables (this year the Z Flip6 and Z Fold6), but Google didn’t want to see what happened last year happen. It introduced the Pixel too late, just as Apple had eaten its toast.

In this 2024, Google wanted to get ahead of Apple and the brand new iPhone 16 Pro that we had already analyzed with three new phones: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and for the first time Pixel 9 Pro XL.
