OnePlus 13 leak shows redesigned quad-camera module

Rumors about you OnePlus 13 The leak continues to emerge, and a new leak gives us a closer look at its design and camera system. We already knew it would likely feature the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, but this latest information adds more details.

A tipster at Digital Chat Station shared an image that shows the OnePlus 13 in a protective case. While the exact design of the phone remains under wraps, the camera module is clearly visible in the photo.

OnePlus 13 might look like this

Unlike previous OnePlus flagships where the camera module blended into the edge of the phone, the OnePlus 13 appears to have a dedicated area for its cameras.

The leak also reveals some technical details of the camera system. It is reported that the periscopic telephoto lens will use a more efficient structure, similar to the one on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Similarly, the telephoto lens is said to offer 3x optical zoom, along with a slightly larger main sensor. Interestingly, the OnePlus 13 is said to use the same image processing algorithms as the Oppo Find X8, which makes sense considering the two companies now share the same parent company.

While the leakster didn’t specify the exact camera sensors, previous leaks suggest that the OnePlus 13 will feature a 50-megapixel LYT-808 sensor with optical image stabilization for the main camera. It will likely be joined by two LYT-600 sensors for ultra-wide and telephoto shots.

While this leak doesn’t reveal anything other than the camera design, it does add another piece to the OnePlus 13 puzzle. Rumors suggest we can expect an improved camera system, likely with extended telephoto capabilities and high-quality image processing, courtesy of Oppo’s Find X8.

The OnePlus 13 is expected to launch in China by the end of October and be released globally in January 2025. We will definitely keep you updated with all the new phone updates.
