This is Xiaomi Redmi 14
Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 aims to be the maximum reference in quality and affordable mobile phones. It is a phone that comes with a screen 6.67-inch OLED, 2,100 nits peak brightness. This is a clear sign that in 2024 and 2025, maximum brightness will be one of the star features of any phone that wants to reign, even in mid-price ranges.
Its processor is MediaTek 7025 Ultra and it is accompanied by up to 8 + 256 GB of RAM. A good configuration for a mobile that must offer more than a good performance despite being economical. It is powered by a 5,110mAh battery with 45W fast charging, a figure that even exceeds that of some phones that cost more than three times as much.
The camera is 50 megapixels and is accompanied by a small macro of two megapixels. But the opening is quite bright. We are talking about an f / 1.5 lens, one of the brightest lenses on the market. A 5G phone with everything you need for daily life.
Xiaomi Redmi 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ are like this
The Xiaomi Redmi 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ are two siblings that are separated from birth. Both share a curved AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and support for both HDR+ and Dolby Vision. Specifications that are closer to the high-end rather than the mid-range, with the cherry on top being Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to protect both panels.
The design is different, with a combined camera module on the 14 Pro+ and separate cameras on the Pro model. The choice of material also changes. The 14 Pro opts for synthetic leather in quite strikingly different tones, while the Redmi 14 Pro+ is covered in glass.
The processor chosen is different. The Pro model has the MediaTek 7300 Ultra, a beast that can compete with almost any mid-range processor, while the Pro+ model relies on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, which should offer similar performance. Despite facing the Qualcomm/MediaTek duo, the Pro model is still a great option.
There are also some differences in internal memory. The most ambitious model goes up to 16 + 512 GB RAM UFS3.1 technologyPro only connects UFS 2.2 type memory, which is noticeably slower.
There are also changes in the camera, which is the main focus of the Pro + model. This mounts a 50 megapixel main sensor that accompanies it. 2.5x telephoto lensa rare figure with the same resolution. The third lens is an eight-megapixel ultra-wide angle shared with the Redmi Note 14 Pro.
This one has a slightly smaller 50-megapixel sensor, but the optics are brighter: f/1.6 versus f/1.5. The third sensor here is a two-megapixel macro, which is pretty much a reference.
Finally, the big difference is in the battery and fast charging technology. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a 6,200mAh battery with 90W fast charginga combination never seen before in the mobile area. The Redmi Note 14 Pro is “compatible” with a 5,500mAh and 45W battery, and also magnificent figures.
Redmi Note 14, Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ versions and price
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 is available in China with prices starting at €153 for the Redmi Note 14, €179 for the Redmi Note 14 Pro, and €243 for the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.
It’s important to highlight that Chinese prices don’t align with what we’ll see in Europe, where numbers will be significantly higher and storage configurations will likely differ.
