This is not the best solution if you turn off the refrigerator from the outlet, then the TV, computer, combi boiler, microwave oven and many other devices can be completely turned off from the outlets without any problems. Although it may seem like a chore, this approach will allow you to secure your equipment.

And in order not to turn off each device individually, it is better to pay attention to reliable network filters that can withstand sudden high voltage surges and turn off automatically.

In general, a quality network filter for your equipment is a very good idea. Sudden power outages, blackouts and power surges have occurred before. We now have approximate shutdown schedules and know when to expect the next shutdown/on, but sudden power surges are really dangerous for devices.

Modern network filters often combine sockets, USB chargers and a handy separate button to turn off all connected devices. They can also withstand significant voltage fluctuations and protect your devices from overload.

For equipment that is “afraid” of sudden power outages, it is worth paying attention to alternative energy sources. For example, it is not recommended to shut down computers suddenly, especially since this may cause data loss. In this case, it is better to connect such devices through a UPS.

It is equipped with a special relay and battery that will quickly switch to the battery and shut down the computer or any other equipment properly in case of a sudden power outage.

In addition, there are special UPSs for routers that can power your router and subscriber terminal for several hours, providing you with autonomous Internet during outages (if you have pre-connected non-volatile optics).

It is currently unknown exactly how long the power outages will last in the autumn-winter period of 2024-2025. However, we can definitely say that there will be power outages and many Ukrainians should turn to alternatives right now.

Depending on how many working devices you need during the power outage period, you should choose suitable power banks, portable charging stations, or even consider the option of purchasing a generator if you live in a private house.

If you live in an apartment and need to power a boiler, refrigerator or boiler, there are charging stations powerful enough to make your home autonomous.

You should prepare for power outages in advance. Make sure your equipment is protected against load spikes and has alternative power sources if necessary. This way you will ensure your comfort and save your wallet from additional costs, because repair or purchase of new devices will cost more than equipment protection options.
