Huawei’s next big phone, the Mate 70 Pro, is said to be released next month or later in November. While nothing has been confirmed by the company yet, we’ve heard about it through leaks and rumors. A leaked image of the device has surfaced online, showing the upcoming phone in real life for the first time.

Huawei Mate 70 Pro images reveal many design details

According to the source, the image shows a Huawei executive holding the Mate 70 Pro. The phone apparently has the familiar circular camera island on the back and contains up to five cameras. Additionally, following the design trend we’ve seen on other flagships, the screen appears curved along all edges.

While the case keeps the back material and design of the phone a mystery, we can see the volume rocker and potentially a dedicated power button on the right side. There are three cutouts on the top of the case, presumably for the SIM tray, microphone, and possibly an IR blaster.

Technical specifications

In terms of specifications, the Mate 70 Pro is expected to be powered by the new Kirin 9100 chipset. Little is known about this SoC at the moment but we can expect it to offer better performance and efficiency compared to the Kirin 9000S. Mate 60 Pro.

We also expect changes in camera systems. According to an earlier report, the phone is expected to have a triple rear camera setup consisting of 60MP primary, 12MP ultra-wide and 48MP telephoto. However, if the new image does indeed show the Mate 70 Pro with five cameras, previous leaks may be inaccurate.

Therefore, it is important to remember that leaks can be inaccurate even if they come from reliable sources. Huawei has yet to officially confirm any details about the Mate 70 series. But what do you think if the details are true? Are these changes enough to compete with the latest flagships from other manufacturers?
