Continuing to promote photography with film and Polaroids, Instax has recently launched the Instax Mini Link 2. However, the new features may not be as many as some users hope to see. Although the printer for smartphones is offered in three new colors: white, blue and pink, its design and size are similar to its previous version. Material – the same plastic case, only with the ability to insert microUSB.

However, there are some remarkable features. The Instax Mini Link 2 has a “Fun Mode” option that lets you take landscape photos. Users can also zoom their phone screens to view images. Additional editing features have also been added. New frames, stickers and smileys adorn photos. You can also draw a doodle on photos directly from your smartphone or printer screen.

Selected images can be printed by tilting the printer or swiping the smartphone screen up. If you own the FUJIFILM X-S10, you can do this directly with the Instax Mini Link 2. You can also print a QR-coded video to play on your smartphone.

The printer for smartphones will launch next week in the UK on June 22 and will be available for pre-order. Suggested retail price is £114.99.
