Samsung Galaxy S24 FE gets its first software update

Samsung recently introduced the Galaxy S24 FE. This was the brand’s latest addition to its FE series of budget flagship phones. As the smartphone continues to ship to customers around the world, the company has started rolling out its first software update.


First update of Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: what’s new?

South Korean tech giant releases an update containing the firmware version S721BXXS2AXI5 . According to the official statement, this is a minor software update that is now available in the European and African regions. In other words, the update does not include any important new features or changes, on the contrary, we are fixing 67 security vulnerabilities. Therefore, if you have received this update, it is recommended that you immediately update your device to the latest version.

The changelog also adds that the new update brings stability improvements to the device, as well as bug fixes and performance improvements. To check if you’ve received the update, go to: Settingsthen go to: Software updates and press Download and install. Note that this update is not released globally, but a wider rollout is expected soon. Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 FE with a custom OneUI 6.1 interface based on Android 14 out of the box. It is also the first Fan Edition brand phone to receive seven major Android operating system updates.

As a reminder, the Galaxy S24 FE was launched with a 6.7-inch tall Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD + resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by an Exynos 2400e SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. There is a 50MP (primary) + 8MP (telephoto) + 12MP (ultra-wide) camera on the back, and a 10MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. This model is powered by a 4700mAh battery that supports 25W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
