Vivo officially announced that the X200 series will be available in China on October 14 at 19:00. This new series not only brings significant updates, but also introduces MediaTek Dimensity 9400, the first 3nm chip in the Android ecosystem built on TSMC’s 3nm process. MediaTek also confirmed that it will announce its next-generation chip in China on October 9. Although the Taiwanese technology giant has not made a specific announcement, it seems that it will introduce the completely new Dimensity 9400 tomorrow.

Vivo X200 series will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip

According to reports, Dimensity 9400 is equipped with the new core Cortex-X925 core, which offers a 36% increase in performance and a 41% increase in artificial intelligence capabilities compared to Arm’s previous model, Cortex-X4. Additionally, the chip includes the Mali-G925-Immortalis MC12 GPU, which is touted as Arm’s most powerful and efficient GPU to date. In benchmarks, the GPU achieved 134fps in GFXBench Aztec 1440P from the Vulkan display, beating the A18 Pro by 86% and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 by 41%.

Vivo has confirmed that the X200 series will include three models: Vivo X200, X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini. These will be the first phones to feature the Dimensity 9400 SoC. Coming to the performance of the chip, the X200 Pro Satellite Edition powered by this chip achieved an impressive AnTuTu score of over 3 million, becoming the first Android flagship to achieve this.

Vivo X200 series will come with top-notch cameras

Vivo X200 series is expected to offer an extraordinary photography experience. The X200 Pro features a 200MP f/2.67 85mm periscopic telephoto lens with V3+ imaging chip, covering focal lengths from 15mm to 85mm. This is the same periscopic telephoto lens found on the Vivo X100 Ultra.

The X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini are expected to feature the Sony LYT818 f/1.57 23mm primary sensor. For optical zoom, the X200 Pro Mini is expected to have a 70mm periscope telephoto lens.

According to reports, the X200 will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main camera and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 (or LYT-600) telephoto camera. All three phones are expected to feature a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 lens for ultra-wide shots.
