According to a previous leak, the Galaxy S25 FE will use Dimensity 9400 instead of Exynos 2500 or its modified version, which means we can expect a significant performance increase. Additionally, a report from South Korea suggests that the phone will be much thinner than its predecessor.

Internal components may need rework

According to the report, Samsung has achieved a reduction in thickness by using a larger but thinner battery and plans to launch the S25 FE as a “thin” model. To use a larger capacity battery, Samsung will need to redesign other components inside.

Galaxy S24 FE is 8 mm thick, weighs 213 grams and has a 6.7-inch screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The internal battery, which was 4,000 mAh in the Galaxy S24, increased to 4,700 mAh.

Although high-density silicon-carbon anode batteries, which have a significantly thinner form factor than standard graphite anode batteries of the same capacity, are available on the market, the source did not mention the use of this technology.

With all this, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to have a 6.7-inch screen similar to the Galaxy S24 FE. The phone is expected to be released in the second half of next year. While little is known about the upcoming FE model at the moment, we can look at the S24 FE to get an idea of ​​what we can expect.

The phone has a design very similar to the Galaxy S24 and also maintains an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. In terms of camera, the latest FE model also has a very similar camera setup to the base model; only slightly lower resolution at 3x telephoto (8MP instead of 10MP).

But the Galaxy S24 is slightly thinner (7.6 mm thick), much lighter and more compact. Although Samsung has increased the screen size of its FE devices from 6.4 inches to 6.7 inches from this year, the reduction in thickness can match the base flagship in appearance.
