The upcoming iPad mini refresh has the same 8.3-inch display as its predecessor and the same 2266×1488 dpi resolution at 326 ppi. Unfortunately, the refresh rate remains modest – 60 hertz. For now the entire screen seems to be the same as the previous model. The effective screen area will not change since the bezels do not change either.
The front-facing camera is still in portrait orientation, which makes sense for a device of this size. Both the front and main cameras appear to be unchanged from the previous iPad mini.

Without any major design updates, this update is more about the inside:
The A17 Pro chip allows the new tablet to use Apple Intelligence features such as “smarter” Siri, test authoring tools, rendering with Image Playground, and custom emojis as part of the Genmoji feature.
It is stated that the efficiency increase compared to the previous model is 30 percent.
It is also claimed to have a 25 percent faster GPU and a neural engine that is twice as fast as the previous model.
There’s also more RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage in the base model; That’s more than double the 2021 model, which has a minimum of 64 gigabytes. A model with 512 gigabytes of memory also appeared for the first time.
The device also supports the new Apple Pencil Pro, which is good news for artists.
They also promise faster Wi-Fi 6E and USB-C.
The only real design change on the new Mini is the colours. This year Apple made many of its products brighter and the Mini came out in new purple and blue colors. They look more muted than bright in the photo, so don’t expect them to be the same as on the iPhone 16.
Apple also noted in its release that the new device can perform hardware acceleration of ray tracing, which should improve the quality of some high-end games.
