The news comes from the X “Beta” user, who also shared the changelog of the update in which Android 15 makes the device faster, smarter and more secure. The changelog also promises smoother animations, an optimized app experience, screen recording notifications, and the ability to switch between different languages more easily.
Although the changelog doesn’t reveal much about the new features in Android 15, it will likely get the app archiving and custom space feature that Google has built into the Android core.
For those who don’t know, the app archiving feature allows you to save space without deleting apps and losing their data. Simply overwrite the application with the compressed APK. The Private Space feature, on the other hand, is similar to Samsung’s Secure Folder in OneUI, allowing you to create additional space for all your private apps and files.
Users who want to try Android 15 before others can check their device’s eligibility for the beta program by going to www.google.com/android/beta and going to the “Your Eligible Devices” section, which should show the devices. those associated with an email account are eligible for Android 15 beta.
Although there is no update for the rest of the Edge 50 series yet, we expect it to launch soon.
