WhatsApp has started testing a new ‘chat memory’ feature for its Meta AI chatbot in beta (v2.24.22.9) for Android users. This new feature aims to provide a more personalized and relevant experience by enabling artificial intelligence to remember information from previous conversations with users.
Meta AI remembers details about users’ preferences and interests. so that we can provide more tailor-made advice and answers..
For example, when users indicate certain dietary preferences (such as veganism) or allergies during the chat, Meta AI stores this information so that it can make more accurate recommendations based on this information in the future. When a user asks for a food recommendation, Meta AI remembers the foods the user doesn’t like or is allergic to and provides appropriate options accordingly.
Each user’s chat with Meta AI will be unique
Likewise, Meta AI will provide more informed and personalized answers as personal preferences such as birthdays, favorite books, documentaries and podcasts will also be recorded. This way, conversations with Meta AI will be more natural for every user.
User privacy also plays an important role in this feature developed by WhatsApp. Users in the application Meta AI will have a special interface that will allow them to manage the information it stores.. Thanks to this interface, actions such as updating old information, adding new preferences or completely deleting the information remembered by artificial intelligence can be easily performed. So users can control what Meta AI remembers and forgets.
This feature, which is currently in testing phase, will be available to all users with the stable version in the future.
So what do you think of this new feature? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
