HMD presents its Fusion smartphone in “Venom” style

HMD Global, the manufacturer of Nokia smartphones, is preparing for a new collaboration device. This time, the company is collaborating with Marvel’s Venom: The Last Dance to create a special version of the modular HMD Fusion.

HMD introduced the “ultimate symbiotic phone” in the X. The teaser suggests that the Venom symbiote will replace the standard HMD Fusion, giving it a dramatic aesthetic.

With Venom: The Last Dance gearing up for release on October 25, fans of the series can expect the Venom-inspired HMD Fusion to launch soon. More details about this exciting collaboration will be announced this weekend. Apart from aesthetics, the technical specifications of the device are expected to remain the same.

HMD Fusion features

HMD Fusion has a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. It runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, has up to 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card. It runs Android 14 and packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging.

For photography, the device is equipped with a 108MP dual rear camera and a 50MP front camera. Additional features include IP54 rating, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C port.

HMD Fusion focuses on ease of maintenance, allowing users to easily replace components such as the display, back cover, charging port, and battery via iFixit. What sets the Fusion apart is its modular design, with a six-pin connector that supports “Smart Suits”—special cases that offer hardware and software upgrades.
