Android Authority’s Mishaal Rahman states that this new feature is called “Rich Ongoing Notifications.” The characteristic in question is permanently placed in the status bar, just like in the iPhone series. and will offer an expanding notification format. Dynamic Island-like new feature comes with Android 16

Dynamic Island, which Apple introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro, showed notifications as a bar that could expand and contract at the top of the screen. This system makes it easier for users to view information directly, and it seems that this feature will be fully utilized in Android 16.
