Innovations coming to iPhones with iOS 18.1
New Photos app and features
iOS 18.1 brings significant changes to the Photos app. With the ‘Clean’ feature you can now remove distracting objects and people from your photos with one tap. Furthermore, with the option to create personalized memories, you can select the most relevant photos and videos and create a story by simply typing a description.
New design for Siri
iOS 18.1 introduces a completely new design of Siri. When Siri is active, a light appears around the edge of the screen. Additionally, users can easily switch between text and voice commands. Siri will be able to provide more detailed answers about Apple products and software.
Mail application
A ‘Priority Emails’ section has been added to the Mail application, showing important emails at the top. You can view a comprehensive summary of each message in the inbox, view messages directly and get a summary using the ‘Summary’ button. Additionally, quick response suggestions are offered with the new “Smart Reply” feature.
Summaries of reports
iOS 18.1 has a feature that automatically summarizes incoming notifications. This feature is not limited to just Apple applications, but can be used for all applications. During installation, you can choose which apps you want to enable notification overviews for.
Speech-to-text features
The Notes application provides the ability to get summaries for voice recordings. When you record phone calls, Apple Intelligence can create summaries of these recordings.
