Xiaomi 15 is the smallest of the family. A phone with a screen 6.36 inch OLED1.5K resolution and up to 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. The peak brightness of the display is up to 3,200 nits, launching it as one of the few high-end compact devices in the segment.
This was achieved on 25% of the 3,200 nits panelyes, well above the 1% achieved by other manufacturers who promise much more vinegar. There’s little point in promising a huge number of nits if they can only be achieved in 1% of the panel, so Xiaomi’s honesty in this regard should be applauded.
The processor is basically Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite along with 256GB of internal memory and 12GB of RAM. It is powered by a 5,400mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. 720 mAh more than last year for a much more efficient mobile device. Autonomy figures are promising.
Its design is quite familiar as it reminds us of last year’s model. Again, Special work done on front framesIt makes Xiaomi the phone with the thinnest symmetrical frames in the world. Specifically, 1.38mm bezels compared to the iPhone 16 Pro’s 1.44mm.
The ergonomics of the phone have been studied to ensure that it is balanced despite the module, with smooth edges and rounded corners. According to the brand itself, they are at the iPhone level in terms of design sophistication.
The back, covered with glass and lined with aluminum edges, houses a camera module that is already characteristic of Xiaomi’s flagship family. The phone comes with Android 15 and HyperOS in its second version, which is a more complete system more supported by artificial intelligence.
The photography set consists of three 50-megapixel sensors: wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lens, all in collaboration with Leica’s Summilux lenses. It’s the same setup as last year, but Xiaomi has promised improvements to the imaging process.
The ISP is now more powerful and powered by AI, so RAW processing is now even better, according to Xiaomi.
Xiaomi 15 Pro, until the arrival of a future Ultra, The best mobile phone Xiaomi has ever offered at the hardware level. The big horse with a 6.73 inch screen and 2K resolution. Its panel has a very slight curve (nothing to do with those seen in previous generations) and retains 3,200 nits of maximum brightness, OLED and LTPO for adaptive refresh.
In this situation frames are not symmetrical and are 1.95mm. While it is a matter of curiosity how the most modern front is allocated to the Xiaomi 15 model, the classic formula is preferred in this model: slight curve and large size. Despite this, it is an extremely energetic panel with 24% lower consumption than the last generation.
Battery 6.100mAhThat’s 1,220 mAh more than last year’s model. An absolutely barbaric figure that positions it as one of the phones with the greatest autonomy on the market.
At the photo level, it also has a 50-megapixel main and ultra-wide-angle camera, but in this case the telephoto lens is enlarged five times.
Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro were first available in China with prices starting from 584 euros. It is too early to know the price and availability they will have in Spain, but of course these will not be the prices in our region.
