According to some new reports from South Korea, Samsung is working on a new brand strategy for Android smartphones with the popular brand “Galaxy”.
Samsung has been releasing new phones under the Galaxy brand for some time now. These phones were called Galaxy, whether they were in the mid-range or flagship segment, but that will change soon.
The company is mainly interested in models in the flagship segment. He is considering the possibility of advertising under a name other than Galaxy.. The aim of this initiative is to capture the attention of users by offering innovative and groundbreaking devices under a separate brand.
The company believes it has too many phones called ‘Galaxy’
Lee Young-hee, head of Samsung’s global marketing department, said this in a statement earlier this year. The Galaxy series has many models and stated that consumers expect a different name for revolutionary innovations.
It is claimed that Samsung’s foray into new branding aims to differentiate phones in the flagship segment from others, similar to Hyundai’s “Genesis” brand in the premium car segment.
By positioning itself as Hyundai’s luxury car brand, Genesis managed to create an image that was independent of the company’s main brand. Using a similar strategy, Samsung plans to market its flagship phones under a different name.
