Samsung announced that the One UI 7 beta testing program will begin at the end of this year, with a stable update coming next year.
The South Korean giant is expected to keep the One UI 7 beta program short and sweet, and the update has been delayed as the company wants to bring a polished One UI 7 update with fewer bugs to Galaxy users. Luckily, leakers did not stay silent and they have allegedly revealed all the new features expected in the upcoming One UI 7 update, including new animations, new app icons, homework help with Circle to Search, AI Zoom, and more.
The new features will definitely appeal to Galaxy fans wondering whether their devices are compatible with Android 15. Although the official Android 15 One UI 7 list has not been released by Samsung, Neowin has compiled a list of devices for the unofficial list based on information about previous major One UI updates and their lifecycles. The above list is based on several factors. Galaxy phones and tablets launched with Android 13 will receive the Android 15 update, as all Samsung devices will receive at least two major operating system updates. While flagship and mid-range phones eligible for the four-year operating system update will receive Android 15, Galaxy phones and tablets released in 2024 will receive Android 15.
However, note that the above list is not official and any new devices released during the inter-launch period before the One UI 7 stable update may also receive the update.
