We previously told you that Samsung is preparing to launch more budget-friendly versions of its Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold foldable phone series. Nowadays in one of these budget-friendly models Samsung will use an old Exynos processor appeared.

It’s thought that these new models Samsung is working on will be introduced as part of the ‘Fan Edition’ series, but details about the phones are not yet clear. Still, some information from reliable sources is beginning to shed light on the long-awaited details about the phones.

Galaxy Z Flip FE comes with Exynos 2400

The Galaxy Z Flip FE will reportedly use Samsung’s Exynos 2400 processor. Although this processor is not very old yet, it will be a year old when the Galaxy Z Flip FE is released. This shows that Samsung will take a different approach to budget-friendly foldable phones than its ‘always use the latest processor’ strategy towards the Galaxy S FE series.

While the current Exynos processor used in the Galaxy S24 FE model powers the phones in the main series, the Galaxy Z Flip FE will come with a processor that was released a year ago to be a more affordable alternative.

While this choice may raise performance concerns for some users, it is still a year old. Exynos 2400 is still one of the best mobile processors to this day.
