Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be Xiaomi’s best camera smartphone for photography enthusiasts next year. It will be equipped with four cameras, including a 50-megapixel main sensor with 23 mm focal length and f/1.6 aperture, a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN5 sensor for ultra-wide shots, and a 50-megapixel periscope with 3x optical sensor. It provides a 4.3x increase in zoom and a reliable 200-megapixel sensor. optical zoom and 100mm focal length.
Previous images leaked last month showed a visible camera bump to accommodate these lenses, but a new image shared on Weibo now gives a clearer idea of the impressive scale of these camera sensors on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
The long lens at the top of the camera module is a 200MP 100mm periscope lens. Below that is the IMX858 secondary telephoto sensor, and the main and ultrawide cameras are aligned to the left and right, respectively.
The phone also has a noticeably thick middle frame and a visible wireless charging coil, confirming wireless charging support.
Features of Xiaomi 15 Ultra
Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also said to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED display with micro-curved edges. The screen will also feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for easy and secure unlocking.
The 15 Ultra is said to be available in three different trim options: smooth leather, fiberglass or ceramic, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes and styles.
Under the hood, the phone is likely to use the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for high performance. It may also have a 6,000mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. On the software side, Xiaomi is expected to run the Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 operating system.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra could launch in China in early 2025, with a global launch likely at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.
