Google announced the launch of a Gemini-specific app for iPhone. The new tool can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and will allow you to easily access Google’s AI personal assistant on your iPhone for free.
A native app. While Gemini is already partially available through the Google app for iOS or the mobile browser, iPhone users can now enjoy this native app.
Seamless conversations with Gemini Live. The assistant allows us to have voice calls with it using Gemini Live. We may interrupt you to add more details or change the subject. It is also possible to choose from 10 different voices and is available in 10 languages, although this number will be increased soon. Supported languages include Spanish, and this feature can be used without any problems in Spain.
Help for students. Google highlights how Gemini could be an interesting assistant for students; students can upload images during study sessions to spark a conversation about themselves and what they contain. For example, you can upload a diagram or chart and ask it to test your knowledge.
Create images with Image 3. Generative AI model Image 3 is also integrated as part of the application. This will allow us to transform text prompts into images rendered by AI directly on the mobile device and with exceptional quality.
Interaction with applications. Gemini can also seamlessly connect to Google apps on your iPhone, finding and displaying information in apps directly from a voice conversation.
We’re still waiting for Apple Intelligence. While Apple has started deploying the first AI functions in iOS with Apple Intelligence in the United States, these options won’t come to Spain until April. So, for now, we are faced with a striking alternative that wins the game against its major mobile rival.
