HMD Globalthe company behind the asset Nokia’s It looks ready for a new launch in the smartphone market. After the recent launch of feature phones (2024 models Nokia 108, Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 125 4G), @smashx_60 hints that a new Pulse 2 Pro smartphone is on the way.

This could be a timely upgrade to the original Impact ProIt was released in April and currently costs around $199 on Amazon. However, according to leaked information, it seems that Pulse 2 Pro will not bring a major upgrade.

Technical specifications of HMD Pulse 2 Pro

For the display, HMD seems to keep the usual 6.65-inch IPS panel with 720p resolution. The good news is that the 90Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 600 nits (HBM) are expected to continue.

It is reported that the camera setup will remain the same with a 50MP main sensor, 2MP depth sensor and compatible 50MP selfie camera. The robust 5,000 mAh battery, 20 W wired charging and 6 GB or 8 GB RAM options are also expected to return.

The most notable update appears to be in the storage area. Unlike Pulse Pro’s 128 GB limit, Pulse 2 Pro can offer up to 256 GB capacity. According to the leak, a switch is being made from the Unisoc T606 processor to the Unisoc T612 processor.

While these features represent a modest upgrade, it’s worth noting that the Pulse Pro is already a decent budget option. This minor upgrade could make the Pulse 2 Pro attractive to those looking for a large screen, good cameras and a long-lasting battery in a budget package.
