A major comparison of the autonomy of current flagships has been published on the TechDroider YouTube channel. The testing included the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, One Plus 12, iPhone 16 Pro Max and the latest Xiaomi 15 Pro.
The newest model performed best in this test. Frankly, two factors allowed Xiaomi 15 Pro to take the lead: a battery with a capacity of 6100 mAh and the newest (and quite energy-efficient SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite).
The test, which simulates traditional smartphone use (games, watching online videos and Internet pages), ended first for the Pixel 9 Pro XL: Google’s flagship lasted 9 hours and 59 minutes, warming up to 42.4°C.
Next came the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra — 10 hours and 23 minutes (the device heated up to 50.4°C at its peak). OnePlus 12 on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 came in third place with 10 hours, 46 minutes and 43.6°C. iPhone 16 Pro Max ranked second with 11 hours 16 minutes and 50°C temperature. Well, the result of the Xiaomi 15 Pro is one and a half hours longer: 12 hours 23 minutes. At the same time, the heating of the device can be called moderate – 43.8°C.
