The CRW-001-1JR features a seven-segment LCD display that displays hours, minutes and seconds. Additional features include stopwatch, light alarm and basic calendar function 24 Channels.
The alarm clock uses a flashing light instead of audible alerts since there are no speakers in the ring.
The device is powered by a single replaceable battery, which Casio claims can keep the ring functional for up to two years. The fact that the device is waterproof also increases its durability.

Design and production
The ring is cast to replicate the intricate details of Casio’s full-size digital watches. Unlike the Timex T80 watch ring with a stretchable strap, the CRW-001-1JR is fixed size.

For users with smaller fingers, Casio offers spacers, but users with larger fingers may need to look for alternatives.
Price and availability
The CRW-001-1JR will be available in Japan in December for approximately $128. Meanwhile, not so long ago, the company launched a collection of non-functional Casio rings inspired by the company’s iconic watches of the last fifty years. In this way, Casio is trying to enter the functional jewelry market.
