Motorola hasn’t released the Android 15 roadmap yet, but the beta has already started. Edge 50 models were the first recipients, and several more later received this award. Motorola will continue to add new devices to its beta testing program in the coming days and weeks, but if you’re expecting a stable build, you may have to wait until next year.
Since beta versions often have bugs and issues, most users will need to wait for the stable release. However, if you want to review the software early before making it publicly available, the beta program is for you, as long as you understand the risks. There’s a completely different way to sign up for Motorola’s beta program. To be eligible for beta testing, you must first create a community account and then fill out another application form. I have mentioned all the steps below.
The first step is to create an account on the Lenovo Forum website. When creating your account, do not forget to check the “MFN Connection Device” box as in the screenshot below.
Now open the Available Testing Opportunities page to see if the Android 15 beta is available for your Motorola device. So when you open the page, you will receive a link to apply for the beta program by providing some basic information.
If your app is selected, you will receive a beta update within the next few days. So check for updates regularly by going to the menu Settings > System Update and touch Check for updates .
Again, beta versions are likely to contain bugs. It is therefore recommended to install the beta/test build on an additional device. When you encounter problems, Motorola recommends posting them on the official forum to help developers identify and fix problems.
Motorola has not officially announced which devices are eligible to upgrade to Android 15. However, it has updated its support pages to reveal details about the upcoming software. These support pages confirm Android 15 for the following devices (at least):
Motorola Razr phones:
Motorola Edge phones:
Motorola Moto G series phones:
Other Motorola phones:
These devices are likely to receive the Android 15 beta, but note that this is not a complete list. Therefore, more Motorola devices are due to receive a major update.
