A new leak claims that: SAMSUNG prepares Galaxy S25 Slim Before international launch. According to @erenylmaz075’s tweet, this member of Samsung’s flagship series has the model number SM-S937B/DS. This “B” likely indicates a global release, while “DS” seems to confirm dual SIM support. While Samsung has a history of experimenting with slim devices like the Galaxy Alpha, the S25 Slim looks to pack flagship features into a compact design, including a rumored 200MP camera similar to its Ultra counterparts.

Rumor has it that both Samsung and Apple are competing in the ultra-thin phone market: Samsung is working on it Galaxy S25 SlimApple is developing a slim iPhone 17 called the “17 Air” despite issues with its thin design. For example, it is said that Apple engineers had difficulty installing components such as the SIM card tray so that the iPhone 17 Air was not too thick. This led to debate about whether the phone would drop physical SIM support entirely in favor of eSIM technology to save space.

Although they look great and are easy on your wallet, slim phones have some serious drawbacks. Battery life, heat dissipation and durability are often negatively affected. A thinner design may also limit repairability; because the internals are tightly packed, making it difficult to repair or upgrade components.

This thin phone competition could set a new trend for 2025. If Apple abandons the Plus model and prefers a thinner Air model, this would be a significant change. Meanwhile, Samsung appears to be revisiting its slim phone legacy with devices like the Galaxy S25 Slim. Both brands appear to be targeting users who prefer the aesthetics of a lighter, more portable device. But the real question is whether consumers will accept potential trade-offs, such as reduced battery life or fewer features crammed into those smaller frames.

So whether you’re on the Galaxy team or the iPhone team, we hope they don’t leave us with phones that look great but don’t leave us scrambling for a power bank in the middle of the day.
